Governance and Management
ICP is governed and managed by a management board and Management staff. The Board of Directors are responsible for the overall operation of the organization. The Board operates within the NGO ACT 2016.
Management
board
The management Board consist of seven (7) members headed by board Chairperson. Other positions in the board are Vice chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. The following below are the areas of responsibility for the board The roles of the Board of Directors shall include the following:
- To appoint the Executive Director after an open and competitive recruitment process.
- To review and approve ICP’s strategic plans, budgets and possible financing plan to help ensure sustainability.
- To supervise the work of the ICP Technical Secretariat as well as that of the management Board.
- To approve administrative and financial management systems and the operational procedures of ICP.
- To appoint an annual independent operational and financial auditor for auditing the funds of ICP in compliance with its operational policies, procedures and manuals.
- To negotiate any memorandum of understanding and actual contractual agreements with partners in development and potential donors;
Management
staff
The management staff of ICP forms the secretariat body of the organization. It is headed by Executive Director and deputized by Head of Programs. The Executive Director is appointed by the Board of Directors. See details of the Organization Structure
